QuickTime for Windows – Uninstall Now!

Apple have stated that they are no longer going to be updating QuickTime for Windows. This was the information that was released by Apple in response to two serious problems that they were alerted to by Trend Micro, who discovered the issues.

Both vulnerabilities can be used to compromise a Windows system by getting a user to open a malicious file that is sent to them or that they managed to get a user to view on a website.

These attack methods are now known to hackers and the industry advice is to uninstall QuickTime for Windows now.
